The First
Joint Meeting
Indian Chapter of the A.S.P.U. took the initiative
and conducted the First Joint Meeting between the
I.S.P.U. (Indian Society for Paediatric Urology)
and A.S.P.U. This meeting was held on February 1
& 2, 1998 at the All India Institute of Medical
Sciences, New Delhi, India. It consisted of a Live
International Workshop-cum-Symposium on Paediatric
Urology and was conducted by Dr. John P. Gearheart,
MD, Director-Professor, Division of Pediatric Urology,
Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions, Baltimore, Maryland,
U.S.A. and Dr. Jayant Radhakrishnan, MD, Chief of
Pediatric Surgery and Professor of Pediatric Urology
at the University of Illinois, Chicago, Illinois.
Volume I of Progress in Paediatric Urology was released
during this meeting.

The Second
Joint Meeting
The Second Joint Meeting of the A.S.P.U. and I.S.P.U.
was held at the All India Institute of Medical
Sciences, New Delhi, India on October 31 &
November 1, 2000. This consisted of a Live International
Workshop-cum-Symposium on reconstru-ctive Paediatric
Urology and was conducted by Prof. Justin Kelly,
F.R.A.C.S of the Royal Children's Hospital, Melbourne,
Australia, Prof. H.S. Asopa, MS, FRCS, FACS, Prof.
Jayant Radhakrishnan, M.D. and Professor Trib
S. Vats M.D., Professor & Regional Chairman,
Department of Pediatrics, Amarillo- Texas, USA.
Volume III of Progress in Paediatric Urology was
released during this meeting.

The Fifth Joint Meeting of the Asian Society for
Paediatric Urology and Indian Society of Paediatric
Urology at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences
and Research Centre, Kochi, Kerala, India on the
14th and 15th of January, 2006. The live operative
workshop was conducted by Mr. Patrick G. Duffy,
FRCSI, Senior Consultant, Dept. of Paediatric
Urology, Great Ormond Street Hospital for children,
